The first annual Triangle Game Conference has come and gone. I had a great time and was definitely excited to see so many people come to a local game conference. Thanks to everyone that played a part in putting on the conference and also thanks to everyone who attended the presentation that Allan Campbell, Ed Rowe, and I gave entitled “Taking Cover: Mechanics and AI Systems for Cover in Games”. As promised, here is the PowerPoint presentation from our talk which included the design of our cover point system as well as the usage of Hierarchical Task Networks in our AI systems.
